The PCC Membership Services Committee (MSC) provides educational webinars for the benefit of members and non-members.
These webinars are held about once a month (except during summer break when many members are on vacation). Typically the webinars are available to all interested EMS providers, but are recorded and archived for later viewing by PCC Members from within the website.
These webinars are typically educational in nature, but are also used for other special needs, including for regular weekly sessions, along with members of NEMSMA, during the first several months of the H1N1 outbreak in 2009.

June 2023 Webinar:
Burnout in EMS | An Evidence-Based Organizational Approach | 22 June 2023
What will we be discussing?
The negative consequences of burnout in EMS stretch well-beyond the individual and can affect entire organizations as well as the patients served. Nevertheless, most traditional interventions aimed to reduce burnout focus on the individual and fail to address the underlying systematic causes. In this session, Dr. Remle Crowe will review the latest research and present organizational-level strategies to meaningfully reduce and prevent burnout at your EMS agency.
Who will be speaking?
Dr. Remle Crowe is an expert in EMS research and quality improvement. Her EMS career began as a volunteer EMT and instructor with the Red Cross in Mexico City, where she also worked at Ford Motor Company as a Powertrain Quality engineer certified in Six Sigma. As an EMT with a passion for advancing the EMS evidence base, she went on to earn her PhD in Epidemiology and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. Now, as Director of Research at ESO, Dr. Crowe routinely uses data to improve community health and safety.
