I am pleased to see some new faces on our Board of Directors, and know that with their expertise and knowledge they will contribute to the success in achieving our key deliverables over the coming months.
As President, I look forward to focusing on three key priorities (Wildly Important Goals (WIGs)):
1) Transitioning to our new governance model. Many of you have participated in surveys, and provided feedback with suggested changes on how the PCC can revise its governance to better reflect the desires of our members. I am pleased to announce that these new changes to our constitution were approved at our Annual General Meeting. Details on these changes can be found on our website, www.paramedicchiefs.ca
2) Focusing on the strategic plan of our association. Our Board, Executive, stakeholders, industry partners have met and defined what the next 2-3 years look like to the PCC. In September of this year, your PCC Board of Directors will meet and conduct a ‘call to action’ out to the entire membership to encourage engagement and involvement on the key priorities of the PCC.
3) Financial sustainability of the association.
As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Paul Charbonneau, President
Paramedic Chiefs of Canada
