Mike Adair resides in Kitchener, Ontario, with his supportive partner and their children, ranging from ages 16 to 9. The Adair household is a hive of activity, with the kids enthusiastically participating in skiing, football, swimming, volleyball, kung fu, and an array of other pursuits. Originally from Toronto, Mike’s familial roots extend to Minnesota.
His educational journey led him to Trent University, where he pursued Anthropology, and later to Centennial College, where he obtained certification as a paramedic. Furthering his academic pursuits, Mike has also attended Dalhousie University, and Royal Roads University where he received a Master’s in Arts Leadership with a focus on healthcare.
Passionate about advocating for mental health within the paramedic system, Mike has dedicated his career to emergency medical services. He has served as a paramedic in Toronto and York Region, Ontario. Throughout his professional trajectory, he has held formal leadership positions in Chatham-Kent EMS, Waterloo Paramedic Services, and Waterloo Fire Rescue. Currently, Mike holds the position of Paramedic Chief in Perth County and serves as a Regional Director for Medavie Health Services in Ontario.
In his downtime, Mike juggles chauffeur duties for his children’s activities, engages in meaningful conversations over the phone, and endeavors to indulge in his hobbies of skiing and biking whenever possible.
