Defence Research Development Canada (DRDC) and the Centre for Security Science have an open for the position of Paramedic Portfolio Manager.
Defence Research and Development Canada Centre for Security Science The Defence Research Development Canada, Centre for Security Science (DRDC CSS) has a three-year Interchange assignment Portfolio Manager, Paramedic Services position. DRDC CSS leads the Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP) a government of Canada approved whole of government program which has been allocated $43.5 million dollars annually to strengthen Canada’s ability to anticipate, prevent/mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters, serious accidents, crime, and terrorism through the convergence of science and technology (S&T) with policy, operations and intelligence. The CSSP Paramedic Portfolio Manager engages the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada, the Paramedic Association of Canada, provincial associations, and other domestic and international committees to understand current and emerging issues that affect the paramedic services across Canada. The Portfolio Manager collaborates with the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology, as well as other research organizations such as universities and standards development organizations. Federally, the Portfolio Manager is responsible for maturing relationships with Departments such as Public Safety Canada, Indigenous Services Canada, Health Canada, and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
