Ryan Sneath has been working in EMS for over 23 years and throughout that time he has had the opportunity to work in various leadership roles within emergency services. He has experience leading diverse teams in both Provincial and Municipal environments and spent two years as the Executive Director for Emergency Response Services with Shared Health in Manitoba. In this role he provided direction and oversight for all emergency medical services and patient transport (both Ground Ambulance and Air Ambulance) in the Province of Manitoba. Ryan Sneath is currently the Deputy Chief of Operations for the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service where he coordinates and leads all aspects of EMS and Fire services delivery, utilizing evidenced based practices to ensure the highest quality of service delivery. During his time with the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Ryan was instrumental in the development of their Community Paramedic Program that improves access to health care for patients and improved health outcomes for individuals accessing these services.
Ryan is passionate about establishing the recognition of paramedics as a key component of the health care system, and creating system change in order to support the right care, at the right place, at the right time. Keeping the patient at the centre of how care is provided has guided his practice and decision making throughout his career.
Ryan has a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from the University of Manitoba, is a certified Advanced Care Paramedic, and is in the process of completing his Masters of Health Administration through the University of Regina.
