We hope this message finds you in good health.
The Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment (CIPSRT-ICRTSP) is a national network based at the University of Regina and supported with funding from Public Safety Canada. Working in a consortium with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, our goal is to improve the lifetime wellness of public safety personnel, their leadership, and their families through collaborative research, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships.
CIPSRT-ICRTSP has created a video titled “Help Us Help You”. Help Us Help You is a video created in collaboration with Public Safety Personnel across Canada. The purpose is to provide information to the general public on how to remain safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, and what the general public can do to assist Public Safety Personnel in providing safe and effective care.
- Wear a mask
- Follow all the rules
- Respect requirements and restrictions
- Tell us about your symptoms
- Be patient and respectful
- Remember, we are trying
CIPSRT-ICRTSP aims to launch this video across Canada, but in order to effectively reach the Canadian public, we need your help. This letter and attached video have been sent to you in hopes you will share this with your network, and post on social media channels you have access to. We want to educate the general public on what they need to do to keep themselves, others and specifically, Public Safety Personnel, safe.
