Join us in beautiful Vancouver, B.C. from June 11-13 for the 2014 Paramedic Chiefs of Canada National Conference. One of the sessions we’ll be exploring with this year’s theme of Inspiring Leadership Coast to Coast is that of responsive leadership in the face of disaster.
Nearly one year ago, on April 1, 2013, Alberta Health Services (AHS) EMS implemented its new disaster Emergency Management Plan (EMP), with the goal of improving patient and responder safety in a large-scale emergency through resource optimization, coordination and continuing education. Just two months later, the EMP was activated during the 2013 Southern Alberta flood disaster.
This plenary session ‘The 2013 Southern Alberta Flood Disaster, leadership lessons learned from planning to recovery’ facilitated by the EMP’s lead designer, Scott Holland, takes the audience from conception to implementation and then execution of that plan during the disaster. Scott will also discuss outstanding challenges, take-away messages, and overall lessons learned.
Learn more about speaker Scott Holland and join leaders in Paramedicine from across the country as we set the stage for the future direction of EMS systems in Canada. Benefit from networking with your counterparts and industry experts and build relationships with vendors and suppliers. We have other engaging subject matter experts that you will find invaluable and enhance your conference experience. Stay tuned for additional updates!
